10 Awesome DIY & Green Halloween Ideas
Soooo…I’m thinking about having a costume party for Halloween. After I spent all that time making my daughter’s peacock costume, it seemed like a waste to have her wear it only once. Plus, it seems I’ve been bitten by the Halloween bug! Of course, I’d like to keep the festivities as green as possible, so I plan to DIY (yes, I used it as a verb) as much of it as possible. Here are some of the ideas I’m considering:

3. Lion Mane

I’m not blonde, but my hair is definitely big enough for this. Pair it with some natural face paints a la Green Halloween, and I’ve got the beginnings of a costume!

4. Chevron Pumpkins

Forgive me, but I want Halloween to be stylish, with just a little bit of scary thrown in for good measure. And you already know of my chevron obsession… I may decide to try this with paint, though.

5. Scary Silhouette Curtains

Like I said, a little bit of scary. This would be great in our glass doors, and you probably already have everything you need to make them.

6. Simple Centerpiece

I know I can find cheap glass goblets at the thrift store, and I already have black spray paint. Maybe add some drips with hot glue to make it a little scarier. Easy Peasy!

7. Another Simple Centerpiece

Definitely more fun than scary.

9. Yarn Spider Web

I’ve also already got yarn from this project.

10. String Spider Orb

I’ve always wanted to make a lamp like this, but this is a great, non-permanent way to try it in case I don’t like the look.
